Mobile Banking
Mobile banking is a system of providing service to a customer to carry out banking transactions on the Mobile phone through a cellular provider. It is a service of banks to make available the facility of banking, wherever the customer is and whenever he needs. At present the new private sector banks like ICICI bank, UTI bank, HDFC, Centurian bank. Bank of Punjab ltd, IDBI bank, Kotak bank are providing the mobile phone banking services to customers. Mobile banking operates through short messages.
The following services are provided through mobile banking
- Balance enquiry.
- Costs transaction: This type of transaction provide the customer on theinformation about last five debits/credits made tot the account.
- Request for cheque book.
- Bill payment – the bank makes payment when the request is mode through mobile phones.
